NC Literary Festival

The NC Literary Festival starts today (!) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
It is shameful that this is my first visit to this festival, it is even more shameful that UNC is where I spent my undergraduate days. Where was I all these years…I am trying to figure this out. At the library or in the lab I’ll bet. It looks like there will be lots of good things to enjoy through the weekend. I haven’t planned my routes but I am excited to see R.L. Stine. I absolutely loved his books as a child, in fact I still have them all. Elizabeth Strout will read from Olive Kitteridge. (I must be the only person who hasn’t read this)

Have fun! I hope you get to the Good Ol’ Girls performance–that looks like fun. Elizabeth Strout is coming to Charlotte in November, I think, and I’m intending to be there.

I’ve been the the festival only once myself–Grisham was the headliner that year, as well. He spoke outside that year and I was NOT impressed with his talk at all.
