Even with the postal issues in the UK, my copy of the Persephone Biannually, Catalogue, and bookmark have arrived. Receiving a catalogue of books is always a dangerous event because there are so many that I would like to have.
I saved the biannually for my flight to Philadelphia today for a conference. This conference is pretty giant so I don’t know if I’ll get much reading or posting done while I’m away for the week but I do know that there are lots of great bookshops and museums to visit in Philly and lots of stuff to learn and folks to catch up with.
The biannually features a short story by Dorothy Whipple called A Lovely Time. I’ve never read Whipple before although I have Someone at a Distance waiting in the wings.
And though this is old news, I’ve been quoted on the bloggers page for my thoughts on Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Pretty exciting!
